IELTS Writing Task 1

You are studying for a qualification, and you would like some time off work to complete it.

Write a letter to your manager. In your letter:

·         Ask for some time off to complete a qualification.

·         Suggest what you will do later at work if you have time off.

·         Say how the qualification helps your job or company.

Dear sir,

I am writing to you about the possibility of taking a fortnight holidays in order to accomplish my postgraduate degree.Firstly, my exams will start from next week and last for a week .I almost completed my thesis but still have to rephrase some part of the report. Therefore, I need a vacation of two week for dealing with these laborious tasks.

Being an industrious professional , I would check my emails regularly and  respond to every email ,answer emergency customer call. After returning from holidays I shall do over time and finish my every task which get  postponed because of my holidays. Furthermore, I would not mind in doing extra work ,if you confirm my holidays.

My embedded system  designing skills are splendid but there are some lacking. My qualification will improve my soft skills , in addition , also enhance my technical expertise.Lately, we did not managed to troubleshoot few faults, but my research will enable the  company to  rectify complicated and challenging technical faults. Moreover, my perseverance would get further strong and I could emerge as the determine leader.

Although, my absence could cause inconvenience for the company for a short time ,but I shall complete my work . I am looking forward for positive response .
